I asked earlier why people refer to britney spears as trailer trash......and many of you caught the fact that I misspelled trailer (trailor) excuse my imperfectness....I don't get paid to be perfect.....anyways let me just say that it's sad that we live in a world where people are judged by clothing and living standards.....It's sad that when people don't agree with the way someone lives that they feel the need to attack them.....I live in a trailer and my kids wear nikes............So like I asked earlier, why sterotype or spend time thinking that others with more money are better then everyone else???? And when people don't meet up to somes standards they are considered "trailer trash"??? Why not two story house trash??? or Suburban Trash???

Outstanding question! What about Paris HIlton?! Would that be mansion trash or estate trash?! People should be judged on how they live their lives and not by what they do with their money (or with their lack of it). Having $ does not make you a good person, just as going to church does not make you religious. It is how you treat family and friends that is important in this world, Good for you! Keep thinking with your head instead of your pocket book and you will be fine!

I used to OWN a trailer house, and now I live in a fabulous downtown loft. It's all relative. But I agree that people shouldn't be judged by their standards of living. Some of the richest people I know are the trashiest. Some of the poorest people I know are my best friends. I'm not one to judge people on their income or living situation. I'm also comfortable wearing a $400 jacket with $20 WalMart shoes. I don't buy into it, and I wish more people didn't either.

I have no answers to your "why's" but I completely agree with you. People ought not be judging anyone. I have met no Earthbound person who is qualified to do so. We seem to be at a time in our society when many people (not all) enjoy pointing fingers at others and putting others down. Maybe it helps such people to feel relevant or somehow superior to others. More likely is, it helps them to feel better about themselves (perhaps they are lacking in their own identity or direction). What is disturbing is that this ugly trend toward rudeness is being passed off as joking. In fact, it has become an ugly sport. The best solution would be that NO ONE be considered as trash.

We are all created equal. There are many who feel that there is no such thing as upper or lower class. It's not about material things, but pure hearts. I hope you are lucky enough to meet some of those people and the ability to ignore all the others whose opinions don't matter.

I guess they call her that because of her actions. It really has nothing to do with the amount of money she has. She is living her life like a person who is considered to be "white trash".

It is true, those that have not sinned cast the first stone.

But Brittney Spears as a celebrity put herself in the situation she is in, not us.

Why not just simply "trash".

You reap what you sow.
