Based on the information you provided and the assumption that you are on a normal 28 day cycle (hard to really know what your normal cycle is though since it's been hormonally altered because of the pill), you should be expecting your period today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, many of the early symptoms of pregnancy are also that of an impending period. The 23rd would have been too early to test, so it's no surprise that you received a negative result. Even the tests that say you can test 4-5 days before your expected period only have a 60-70% accuracy rating for detecting pregnancy that early. I'd wait until tomorrow, and if you still don't have your period, take another home pregnancy test. You can become pregnant immediately after getting off the pill - it happened immediately for me with my first, and just found out I'm expecting my second on my 2nd cycle after getting off the pill. Everyone's body is different though. That's why most doctors on average it takes at least 3 months to conceive after getting off of a hormonal birth control pill. You can also trick your body and your mind into thinking you are pregnant. You may find yourself noticing every symptom out there and not be pregnant at all. The human psyche does some strange things. So like I said, if you don't get your period in the next day or two, take another test. If it's a positive result, call your OB and set up an appointment. If it's negative, wait a couple days and test again if you still haven't seen your period. If you still don't have your period by Monday and you're not getting a positive result, call your doctor and they can do a blood test for pregnancy, and go over why you haven't seen your period if you're not pregnant. I hope you get the answer you're looking for.

You definitely can get pregnant right away. I have had some friends who got pregnant right away. It all depends on your body and timing! Although it's possible, it can be that your body is having a bit of a hormonal imbalance. After I stopped the pill, I swore I was pregnant from all the symptoms I was having (waves of nausea, tender nipples, and very mild cramping...it lasted almost 2 weeks) but I wasn't. It was just my hormones going crazy. So it definitely can go either way. I'd check with your OBGYN to be sure.

I became pregnant only three days of stopping orthotricyclen low. Contact your OB.
