Not as a rule, and if you see one out during the daylight hours, it is possible that they have rabies and are not thinking correctly. I used to have a pet raccoon. She would sleep most of the day and run around at night.

Not usually--they are nocturnal. If you see one, the 'coon most likely has rabies. So, stay away!!

Not normally but if they do you should stay away from them because it might mean that they have rabies.
