No unity as long as the communist socialist party has its strangle hold on the democrat party. NO. And no we are not destined to fall.

"Will there ever be unity in the U.S.again?" you ask. Well, let me ask you if you think there ever has been unity in the US in the past. I mean, it took several years and a lot of political arm twisting to get the original 13 to decide to become one country. Then it took another 80+ years before the country settled, once and for all, whether individual states could decide to opt out of the federal union and leave if they didn't like what the other states' elected representatives decided they wanted to do.
Our nation was created in a manner that virtually guarantees dissent and polarization. Even matters of constitutional law decided by the Supreme Court are not let stand forever. New legislatures will make new laws that they believe will satisfy some constituent's needs yet comply with the SCOTUS's decision, some "special pleading" or another, and open the whole matter up again. If that approach doesn't work, they'll even try to get their special case made into an amendment to the constitution and have it ratified so that the SCOTUS cannot decide otherwise. See http://www.usconstitution.net/constamprop.html to read up on some of the wild and crazy constitutional amendments proposed in recent congressional sessions.
"Are we destined to fall?" Actually, I think the answer is that we are destined to get it right. It may not happen as quickly as many of us would like, but eventually we'll fix the things that cause suffering and disharmony. Look how long it took our country to end slavery. It took even longer before the 17th amendment allowed us the direct election of our senators and the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. They outlawed alcohol with the 18th amendment, then realized what a fiasco that was and repealed that amendment with the 21st amendment. The latest amendment, the 27th, was first proposed in 1789 and was only ratified (finally) in 1992, fully 74,003 days after it was first sent to the states to ratify!
So, we move slowly sometimes but we do have the capacity to address injustices and correct mistakes. Many other countries only seem to be able to do that through bloody revolutions and coups d'etat.

It remains to be seen. Right now, there is a significant difference between the left and right regarding the proper role of government in our lives, and with respect to the applicability of the Constitution as a limit on federal government powers.
There are vast differences here, and the direction the country goes will have a huge impact on the future of our freedoms and rights.
I doubt there will be a fall anytime soon, but without a doubt, if we head in certain directions, which seem to be unavoidable, we will certainly be diminished.

If by unity you mean one government that controls the lives of everyone, we never had it.
Closest this country ever came to "unity" was during and after the WWII years.
Other than that, there has NEVER been a time in our history where the country was in unison.

We've had radicals in charge before. Eventually people wake up to the reality of radical thinking and we resume a government that rules from the center. Then we get complacent and the radicals take over again, and the cycle starts over again. Today's radicals are conservatives in the past it has also included liberals as well as conservatives.
As long as we have Congressional oversight and maintain a balance of power we should be okay.

If you haven't noticed, we already have a dictatorship. This is until we are assimilated into the North American Union. From there, we loose all remnants of a free and sovereign nation. It's already happening in the UK.
Haven't you heard? We will be getting OUR new currency soon also. It will be called the Amero. Don't believe me? Click below...

It's according to what your measurement of "fall" is. Every nation in the history of mankind has always had it's moment of failure. America will continually change and for some it will be viewed as fell. If your speaking of fell by what dooms day movies are made, I doubt it.

I think we will fall, as to when, who knows but at the rate we are going, I think our generation might live long enough to see the real effects. There is no one who is willing to make changes in our government and if there is, they are usually shunned.
