I need to move a 7'6 long dining-room table and chairs and want to find a Bay Area van rental company that rents vans at a decent rate. I'm looking for a cargo van (not a minivan), rather than a minivan or truck. Want to avoid mileage charges, and have something that will be comfortable to drive 1,500 miles+ in a weekend (E.g. Uhauls are out). Would welcome recommendations.

try to find a pick-up truck that you can rent or borrow and buy a good tarp and some rope to tie down --- put the table down (topside flat on a blanket on the p/u floorand the chairs on top of the table --pad AND tie down all ,,,,, the return will be easier and you will have a lower gasoline bill and you won't be worn out on monday morn to go to work.... this is the best plan that you will ever get......
