Your best bet is to state yes it did happen. By doing so, you are at least credible to them. If they ask, own up to what you did and what you have learned from it. I have hired felons before who truly showed that they have made an effort to rehabilitate themselves. But those felons who blamed it on the system or that they were just a "victim" get bypassed by me. The reason is that if I believe that they are willing to learn from their mistakes, they are some of the best workers. So, be honest and you never know, you may find an employer who is willing to give you a chance.

A felony, in many common law legal systems, is the term for a "very serious" crime, whereas misdemeanors are considered to be less serious offenses. Crimes which are commonly considered to be felonies include, but are not limited to: aggravated assault, arson, burglary, murder ...
Depends what job you are applying for this makes alot of difference. Are you working with money? ie: bank, irs
Are you working with children? Type of felony?
But if you really want the job you should be honest at least.

everybody in texas has been convicted of some crime, have evaded the police or have gotten away with murder. don't sweat it. put no. at least if they hire you, you can receive a couple of paychecks before they do a background check on you. your best bet is to go into politics like george w. did - - it's the best protection....or look up some of your high school friends. we know they have the same records as you and maybe they have their own businesses and you could work for them. good luck....but, just say no!

You have to mark yes. Write in it "nonviolent crime, will discuss in person if requested". This gives you a chance to explain yourself. But you shouldn't lie because if you are found out then you might add another felony to the list... Hope all goes well for you!

you have to check yes. If they do a background check and find out you lied, you definetly won't gt the job. How far they check is dependant on the job and industry. Be honest just in case
