i went to my doctor today and he sent me to do a "blood preg test". does anyone know how long it will take to get the results back? and do they just call if you are preg? or will they call even if im not?

When I took mine it took 2 days to get the result but it all depends on the doctor and how fast the lab does the work on it. They should call you to tell you the results weather your pregnant or not pregnant. Mine did. Good luck with the results.

The higher the result, the longer it takes for the test to be completed because the machine usually has to dilute the sample. That being said, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half max, if the test is done at the same facility where you had your blood drawn.
You can call the doctor a few hours after, he can get the results for you and give them over the phone.

I got the results from my blood test the next day. They will call you with the results either way.

I have no idea, i just took a HPT.. most doctors will use that instead, because a number of them have become so much better at detecting. So.. in the meantime, pick up a clear blue or first response and find out for yourself a little early!! Good luck!

You should have found out before your left. Its a matter of minutes. This is the 1st sign of OB sloppiness, find you a new ob!
These people cannot be serious. If you have an ob appointment for birth control and a blood pregnancy test is done, you think people wait in the office for 2 hours to see if test is neg or not to get their prescription?
My 1st pregnancy test was blood test, they drew blood at the beginning of my office visit and I had results after my pap.

They will proably tell you when your next appointment comes up or they may call you if they did not give you an appointment to come back.
It only takes about 30-45 minutes to get the results.

it should take about 2-3 days or sooner if the doc put a rush on it, they should call you either way to let you know

yes they will call you either way. They should easily have results in 24 hours. If they don't call you call then only give them one day, then call. they will know.

it should only take a few hours but they probably won't call you till tomorrow because that is what happened to my wife.
