So many questions and answers here accuse liberals of "loving" our enemies because they're against the war. Are those the only two possible points of view? Either we want to kill everyone in the Middle East, or we want to have sex with them? Is there NOTHING in between???

Hey, I'm with ya! live and let live. We don't mess with us and we don't mess with them. Ideally that is how it would go, but you have ignorant fools in this country who can't see anything but black and white. Oh, well, maybe natural selection and evolution will kill them off in a few years. (you have seen all of those questions, yes?)

Good question, although it comes from both sides. Probably because it is a scary time with all the wars and threats out there people are generally scared and only want the best according to their ideology. I don't believe that liberals hate America and I don't believe that conservatives want to nuke every one. Being that it is the turn of the century we are going into a new era with new technology and threats of the Apocalypse, from all sides not just religious, people are afraid of what lies for them and their children.
I agree that we have extremism here and it is not helping. The best thing we could do is to learn to deal with each other and our differing opinions and if possible find common ground.

The only thing that's obvious is that you have nothing bteween your ears. What extremism is happening here that can be paralleled with extremism that's happening there? I don't see news reports here of people blowing themselves up and taking out innocent lives in order to further the tenets of some whacked-out religious doctrine. As far as you liberals go, why are you constantly railing against the so-called "religious right" here, but are so conspicuously silent about the religious nutcases there? A majority percentage of our troops believe in what they're doing over there, yet liberal "extremists" here, praying to whatever god they serve, have the most extremist views that are aligned with the extremists over their. Kill the president? I couldn't begin to number the times I've heard liberal whacko's here say that. You DO love the enemy because you so obviously HATE America. I guess all the Iraqi vets at the VA hospital I just got out of and who say they'd go back in a heartbeat would be, in your twisted logic, considered extremists?

excellent question.. why do so many (from all sides) condemn and yet stand in extremism.... they are merely adding to the problem rather than aiding in the solution.
