In most states, you must be at least 18 years old. There are maybe two or three states where you may get married when you are only 16 without parental consent, but you probably don't live in one of those ... if you did, you wouldn't have had to ask this question.

If your asking how old, it's fair to assume your a young person. I believe it depends from state to state but the majority is 18yrs old without your parents consent, I think that the state of Ark. might be younger but not sure. Good luck and think wisely.

In my state, the girl must be 16 and the boy must be 21. Use a phone and call the Marriage License Dept. of the city you are in right now. Look on the phone books City pages. They get asked that a lot so they are nice about it. Good Luck Honey. @8-)

Hi Ashley read the sites here & see what you have to look foward to.There are children getting mar===before they even have a clue about it.Sounds like you are wanting out from your parents house. That not a good way , As if or when your marrage goes south ,then you will have to go home ,now thats going to be worse than it is know. So please think twice before making a move your not ready for.& don't have children before your stable in the realationship.Just my thought .

Legally: Depends where you live. Write to your local congressman.

Morally: Its really how you feel. If you feel at the age of 24 you can get married without your parents, then go for it.
