You need about 10 diapers a day for the first two months, less after that. Don't buy anymore until your kid is born since you can't tell now if they will need newborn or size 1, depends on birth weight. Also need
Wipes, diaper rash cream
A couple of newborn toys
A baby carrier or sling
I really liked the boppy for nursing
Baby monitor is you have a large house
Pacifier if you plan to use that
Baby soap, lotion, bath tub
Hair comb and nail clipper
Bibs and burp cloths
Receiving blankets to wrap her in, babies love to be wrapped up the first few weeks

More diapers hun, lots and lots of diapers. One an hour like the other girl said will make sure you are covered. Depends on how your baby grows as well. Some girls jsut stay small and move out a lot slower, some get big fast.

Music cds for her to sleep to, just in case you are tone deaf lol. bottles, breast pump if you want to pump, nursing bras for you, post pregnancy clothes for you as well, other than that, with the other people on here, you should be set.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste is awesome for diaper rash treatment and prevention.

The best burp cloths are the cloth diaper kind, or regular hand towels from your kitchen or bathroom. Forget the cute little printed terry ones- they're too thin.

Most baby socks suck at staying on. Look for ones with a fairly snug ankle. I like the triple roll anklets by Circo at Target. They come in a whole rainbow of colors. Get a mesh lingerie bag to wash them in, and they won't get lost.

Get yourself some Dreft detergent, and a large bottle of Shout for stains. Eventually, poop will make its way up your precious girl's back and all over her clothes, no matter how diligently you diaper.

When my son was born he was in newborn diapers for nearly a month and I changed his diaper 10 or more times a day. We also used alot of blankets, socks, extra sheets, and you might want to get medicine like for fevers and a runny nose. Summer colds are the worst. Dont buy alot of any one type of bathwash she may be allergic to it or have xema. I have to use dove for my son. If you can go to garage sales you can buy boxes of baby clothes for like 3 or 4 bucks and high chairs for $10.

Depending on where you live , sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. I LOVED my baby sling (rees up your hands) Also if y our goi ng to breast feed y ou may want a bra or 2 that allows you to nurse comfortablly, a few blankets to cover up with too.... Other than that you sound like your off to a good start. I would grab a baby first aid kits, one of those suction bulbs, a thermomitor, oh and if you have a baby shower ask for everyone to bring one pack of diapers.... that shoule work....I loved that part...

Good luck and congrats...

The standard for diaper needs is 1/hour. This is obviously just a rough guideline but it suits.

I wouldn't buy too many newborn size diaprs I did and my son outgrew them very quickly. One thing you can't have enough of are burp cloths and lots of clothes unless you want to be doing laundry all the time then lots of baby detergent. Congrats!!!
