Yes it is possible. Normal weight gain ranges from 25-35lbs. A lot of women gain more than that but it is not necessary.

You can eat healthy foods. Low in Fat and high in nutrients. Continue a work out regimen. Do Pre-natal yoga and other exercise. Drink plenty of water and above all stay active as long as you can... with out straining yourself.

Read what to expect when you are expecting and read what to eat when you are expecting.

They are very popular and very useful books.

25-35lbs. is considered a normal and healthy weight gain for pregnancy. If you are overweight gaining a little less can be ok and if you are underweight gaining a little more will be healthy. It really isn't that hard, at least that is what I think. I do not over indulge on the sweets and I try to eat healthy and drink a lot of water. I do not let my self go hungry either. I am 34 weeks and I have gained 25lbs. so yes it is possible. My doc figures I will gain about 5 more lbs putting me at a healthy 30lbs. Good luck to you and your baby.

The weight you will gain, as long as you eat healthy, take your prenatal vitamins, and drink water like you are supposed to every day, the weight will be from the baby, and carrying the baby. Just don't think you should eat "for two", that is how you can get overweight. You may need to eat several small meals per day, but you will do fine. Any further questions, please talk with your ob/gyn, and if you would like, ask him/her to refer you to a nutritionsit for further assistance. Congrats on the baby, take care.

Eat healthy and remember you only need about 200 extra calories a day. Just make sure that what you eat isn't empty calories (fast food or junk food). Lots of fruit, veggies, dairy and help yourself to PLENTY of fiber, you will thank yourself later! Remember that you should gain weight, but not a ton. As long as you eat healthy, you shouldn't worry! Congrats and good luck!

Just stay active. When i was pregnant with my first baby i used to go swimming at the civic center twice a week, that really helped me stay fit. When i had the baby i lost all the weight!

Remember not to eat for two. That's a myth. You eat what you need and the baby will get it's nutrients from your body, not what you eat.

Eat right and exercise - but make sure whatever you are doing is ok with your doctor. If you gain more weight than you want, don't try to lose it. Don't cut calories while you're pregnant, it's really dangerous for you and your baby.

I've gained more than I hoped to, but there's nothing that can be done about it now. It just means more work for me once she's born I guess!
