Hi all, I am new to USA I need to know that how can I work in USA? I went to department of homeland security they said that as you have K3 Visa so you have to wait for your green card after Green card you can work. The Green Card process takes more than 90 days and after that I have to apply for Social Security Number then I can work. So this is a very long process. I cannot drive a car I cannot work. I am totally dependanct so what I have to do now. Its very disturbing to stay in the home all day and doing nothing I am a highly qualified person I am just wasting my time, so what should be the next step? If any one can guide I will be grateful. Can I do any job in any way?

If you have K3 visa then you CAN & SHOULD apply for "adjustment of status" as soon as possible with form I-485 ($325 filing fee). This will get you able to work legally. This could take a couple months though. If you have not filed I-485 yet AND have an extra $180 AND want to work as soon as possible then file I-765 "application for employment". This will get you social security number and work permit in a few weeks. Not super quick, but it is faster than with I-485. PLEASE keep in mind you will still need and want to file I-485 eventually because until you do you will not start your path towards citizenship. Here is a website that might help with this and other issues http://visajourney.com best of luck and welcome to USA. I am sorry for some people here forgetting that the only ones who are NOT immigrants are the American Indians, Native Hawaiians, & Alaskan Eskimos.

Contact the office of the Senators or Congressman who represents the state or district in which you live. They have caseworkers who will help you for free. They will help expedite the process for you at no charge. Good luck, and thanks for doing it the legal way! I have a lot of respect for you, and know that you will be an asset to our great nation.

Here's a thought - don't like our system, go back where you're from and work there.
Otherwise - sit down and wait until you can legally work in this country. Mean time I pray every American citizen out there finds a job before you.
