A nice long one, that has a nice elegant look to it.
Go for something more form fitting, and not too Poofy.
Also, if you can, go with some heels, but make sure that the dress does not drag if you are not wearing them since your feet will be tired and you will want to slip them off for a break at some point.
I recommend against any shoe that has straps and is tricky to get on, you want something you can slip on and off quickly.
As for the slit, you do not want it too high, but it is best to give yourself one to make the dress easier to walk in.
Try on a bunch, and see what your friends are going in too, just so you are not completely out of touch on the styles they are picking!

Since, I am such a short Person MySelf.
Have a Revealing one.
Now dont look to skimmpy. Just mabye a White one
And the bottom of the dress is all triangle like.
You Know what I mean.
Then again you should be yourself.

looks like long is all the rage from what I can tell - why not wear something tea length and show off your legs a bit - it will make you appear taller as well.. also find a stunning bright color and style that suits your body type and hair! have a great time you'll stand out if you have confidence and feel beautiful!!

when i was in high school....i seen a couple ones that stood out...crown royal bags made into a dress....duct tape dress....ive seen people do tin foil...
