I have a star carved into my left hand that wasn't there yesterday. I noticed it when I woke up this morning. What could it be from?

Weird I don't know. It may be due to your religious beliefs. It has been proven scientifically, that if you believe in something hard enough, your mind can do anything according to that belief. For instance, the whole stigmata thing, they have proven that in the cases scientists have observed, that the mind can actually cause those marks. What I would do is pray and meditate to try to understand it. Good luck.

Traditionally, a star on your hand could mean vampires. I don't know if this is the case or not, but that is the symbolism behind it.
Both the Wiccan/Pagan symbol and the Satanic symbol are both 'stars'. Pagan is with the point up, Satanic is with the point down.
Other symbolism:If you have a star piece of jewelry that has been blessed, you get a wish for every point of the star, on a daily basis.
Do you perhaps have a piece of star jewelry that you may have slept against? If not...I would agree with speaking to your religious leader, or perhaps looking into the other religions I have mentioned above.
