It is indeed C. A shield is basaltic lava. A cinder cone is composed mostly of "cinders" such as pumice with no lava. A caldera is a blown out volcano leaving a hole.

All volcanoes that I have Sean have Miltie layers of blown out ash. The one that impressed me was Reventador ,which is in Ecuador. It is about 25 miles deep and the rocks formed at that depth is very different.

composite Composite volcanoes are the classic cone shaped ones. They spit out ash which covers the facets, then lava which sticks to the facets and cools, inflicting the volcano to construct up.
