I have not been paying attention to the news lately, and I am politically moderate. That being said, why do all of my liberal friends keep saying that we will soon be going to war with/in Iran? Did GW Bush or someone say something indicating this, or what? My conservative friends say this is all a bunch of bull. Tell me what you think/know, please.

It's political maneuvering. We won't go to war with Iran because we don't have the resources or the public support. Iran knows this, so they are not backing down. It's the media that is blowing it out of proportion so they can get a sensational, attention-grabbing headline: "War with Iran?!?!?!"

I think people are assuming that's the next step since Iran won't stop Uranium production and has made some pretty slanderous remarks about "wiping Israel off the map". Bush never said anything of war or invasion. I don't think it will happen, atleast not for a while and without worldly backing. Personally I quit listening to conservatives and liberals, watch and read whats going on and decipher for yourself. The truth is in the middle.

No, Pres. Bush said we will "deal" with Iran. The liberals are just enjoying a bit of Bush-Bashing. If you want to change the subject, just say something about Hillary and Obama. They will gush for hours.

well, the U.S. has done war games and has prepared for a war with Iran if it ever happens. It is not a fact that we will go to war with Iran, but with the idiot in the white house there is a possibility.

They've been "finding" evidence to suggest iran is responsible for everything going wrong in iraq and therefore the only way to save iraq is to invade iran and take control of the worlds largest oil pipeline.

if he decides to go after iran, then we better all just put our heads between our legs and kiss our a$$es goodbye. cuz the pres. of iran clearly stated that if we attack them, they have nukes and will get us right back. then we are all screwed if that happens. but i heard that he cant make a decision without congresses approval. and they are against it. so lets hope that is true.
