I don't know what you mean by the "furnace in Sunnyvalle", but I'll try to answer your question.

If a citizen has a concern about the Chief of Police in his or her community there are several options. If it is an internal issue that doesn't involve a crime you can contact the mayor's office or city council. If the issue is a serious issue (like a criminal problem) you can either contact the local prosecuting attorney's office or the state's attorneys general office.

Good luck.

By contacting the State of Federal authorities in your area...you can seek guidance in which direction to go as far as reporting wrong doing by the local police chief!

If you find that too difficult...you could hire an attorny to represent your concerns or go to the press.

Going to the press, however, is not as easy as some may wish you to think. The press will challange your integrity as to the information you provide.

They may also attempt to contact the chief by stating there is an issue before them and ask for his response. Either way...he may eventually find out you are the originator of the complaint.

Best wishes!

I am in the same situation--our town tried for several years to bring our Chief to trial, but it never happend--and now the chief has his favorites and his not so favorite drivers.
Truthfully, there is no way to do this without getting in trouble of some sort, maybe not against the law, but against humanity.........It is terrible to be in that situation. Just wait, maybe someone will turn the chief in for you.....think about that
