He says ban McDonald's, then what? Ban KFC and Pizza Hut? How about we ban all food with more than 100 calories? Banning certain foods is not the answer. People need to be educated in healthy eating. Also, if recent headlines are anything to go by, parents need to learn how to use the word "NO" and use it often.

Yes remember the headlines not too long ago,too fat to join the services.
Plus 8yrs old + 14 stone, Of course it's all the Govt's fault they drag you down to Macdonalds, shovel it down your throat till you have this Obesity problem. Then they have to spend another load of dosh to get the weight off.
Of course he's right, they ought to have Govt health warnings outside the shops. Let's hear for Charles.

,, I suppose he is right, however, do we want to be a nanny state?

We all have choices and should be left to make our own decisions.

All we get is scaremongering, no wonder you hear of people getting depressed.

If you want it eat fatty stuff and it shortens your life, you have no one to blame but yourself.

I do think children need to be guided in good eating habits.

And another thing, they take the school playing fields away, and have the cheek to say, children don't get any exercise.
Then blame eating too much, as the only thing making children overweight, as if that was the only factor.

Sorry Dr Bad, I've been on my soap box!

Yes. And all food and their companies that do not reduce their amounts of hydrogenated fats within the next year, so when we get to 2008, no UK food sold in shops will have any in, should be removed from the shelves.

It will never happen, but yes, he is right.
