It's hard to say right now....it still early. I have my Okay list of contestants and my top list of those who I really like. Those are:
Blake
Chirs S.
Lakisha
Melinda
Jordin

I have to say that since the season has begun my favorites, have been the two former back up singers Brandon Rogers and Melinda Doolittle, Lakisha Jones, Jordan Sparks, Blake Lewis (Love his Beat box), Chris Richardson (Justin Timberlake look alike), Phil Stacey, Stephanie Edwards, Sanjaya Malakar, and Gina Glockson, I believe out of all of the people that are finalist now, these are the best.
So far to me the best female right now is Lakesha Jones, Best Male is Brandon Rogers.
I think it's still a bit early to say who I think will win, but I am guessing it may come down to Beat Box guy Blake Lewis, and Chris Richardson, because of appearance.

Yep, Chris became the genuine winner so a recommendations as i'm in touch! I been gazing the tutor because it all started. I in effortless words agreed with one winner, and that became season 3 Fantasia. Latoya ought to of gained season a million and Clay on season 2, and Bo on season 4 and Chris on season 5.

I like Chris Sligh, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Stephanie (can''t remember last name) Sabrina Sloan, and Lakisha Jones. I think they'll all make top 12.
However, I am bummed that there are no country singers and no rockers this year.

I like the auditions - seeing people make fools of themselves - but then I hate seeing how the most horrid singers end up becoming semi-celebrities for a while, ending up as guests on all kinds of shows. I don't really care for the actual final competition part. Have fun watching it, though. To each their own!

My husband and I usually just watch the first few episodes to see the really bad singers, but there are some major contenders this season and we're totally hooked!!!

I think there's a girl named lakisha. She's gonna win! Or that Doolittle girl, the backup singer. Either of them would be great

I haven't watched it in about 2 yrs. I mostly watch movies and TV only on certain days.
