I was thinking that Britian is such a nice police state with cameras everywhere and everyone yelling to punish one another to the fullest extent humanly possibly. Wouldn't it be dandy if we could punish Britts for thought crimes? I don't think it would fly in America since we are slowly figuring out the police state thingy does not work. What do you guys think?

How about just punishing them for being British? I jest! In reality this is a horrid idea. To punish some one for a thought rather than an action opens up doors we as free humanity really don't want to open. When some one can be punished for a thought, the government or any agency in charge of that will have unbridled power. For only they will be able to say what anyone is thinking, and they will choose to punish and control accordingly.

Thought does not mean they are going to act on it. I think stuff all the time, but I am an adult and can restrain myself from doing something stupid and so should everyone else.
