If you are investing with a 10 year + time horizon, Today is not a problem, If you were investing for next month, this wasn't the way to do it.

All markets go up, have corrections, go up again
Emerging markets are volitile but are an important part of the future encomy of the world.
Russia is considered an emerging market and it has gone up 37 times (3700 %) since 1998. In emerging markets, don't worry about a down day, down month or down year. But don't have all you money in then either.

So you are operating on the theory of Buy high and sell low.

Nice way to go broke.

Review the reasons why you have assets in the emerging markets, are they still valid. Know upfront that the volatility in the sector is much higher than almost every other sector with maybe Microcaps pulling up a close second.

I am not going to tell you what to do. I can only say what I do.

During the 72-73 bear market, I was buying, during the 81 and 87 crashes I was buying even more, during the 91 selloff, buying and from 2000-2003 continued to buy.

This is money that is for the ultra long term investment portfolio; I don't care about the day to day, month to month gyrations.

Take a deep breath and decide, do I want to buy it when it is going on sale or do I want to sell it cause everyone else is?

Fear is the best time to buy more for the long haul

LOOK, if you would have been buying during the bear market of 2000-2003 ,,,,you would be sitting pretty now .

THis market was bound to correct. Nothing goes straight up. This is healthy.

I say start dipping into the cash and buy during the FEAR.

Yesterday was the time to sell.

Tomorrow will be time to buy.
