Although deja-vu by itself might mean something, it is also a symptom of a mild epilepsy attack.
It's called petit mal and it doesn't cause you to loose consciousness or get confused or forget things, you just get a deja-vu feeling. Biologically, a deja-vu is an abnormal activity of the brain crust. It can be made artificially by applying an electrode to your brain crust.
So if you are experiencing very regular and strong deja-vu attacks, I would suggest you to consult a neurologist.

The term "déjà vu" (IPA:/deÊa vy/) (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Ãmile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "Remembering the future."

It is french for 'already seen'.
It is a psychological term for a reoccurring event or sensation.
It is commonly known as the sensation of having 'been somewhere' or 'done something' before.
For the over 18 crowd, it is also a franchise of strip clubs run by Hussler and Associates, owned by the same owner of this franchise, but his name escapes me.
