Hello,
My care is a 1994 runs great when warmed up (for about 15 mins.) but if leave yard before 15 mins. and put into drive it will go stand still. (almost like not kicking into the drive gear. But once car goes not one problem all day. Just mornings.
One another question is- Our these kind of cars set up to hesitate at first? (History- Only had car for one year, at first maybe only 2 mins. warm go but getting slower and only when car has sat about 9 hours. Summer or Winter does this)
Does anyone know why? And what I can do to fix problem?
I think maybe a transmisson problem???
Thank you very much.

you have a problem with what is called delayed engagement being a 1994 you probably need a pump for the trans and to have the trans control module software updated your dealer can do that also check the fluid level first. the trans cooler lines are known for leaking at the crimp fitting and have seen several hundreds of loose cooler line hose clamps at the trans cooler at the radiator and external cooler if yours has one chry has revised cooler line clamps that are supposed to hold their torque better hope this helps start with checking fluid first

Chrysler actually had a service bulletin about this back when these cars were new. They claimed that it was caused by deposits on the back of the valves...try a couple of tankfuls of a good fuel system cleaner...I usually use Prestone in my LeBaron. ONLY put it in when your tank is full, I usually do it at the gas station. Also, try using a quality, name brand fuel for a few tankfuls. Some of them have good cleaning agents in them that help. I had the same problem several years ago, this helped.

Have a dealer look into this problem, sounds like a tranny problem. Did you check the trans fluid??

the reason you do no longer hook up the unfavorable directly to the battery is to avert sparking close to the battery. The battery emits explosive hydrogen gas and a spark ought to ignite it. because of fact of this you hook as much as a solid chassis floor or the engine block. Now the distant neg terminal is for 2 reasons. First it strikes the unfavorable terminal removed from the battery so which you will no longer could hardship approximately sparking. 2nd is that the battery is down interior the your best option front fender nicely and is damn close to impossible to leap start up by connecting to the battery terminals. so as that they moved the unfavorable terminal the place you should get at it without taking the battery out.
