I know for many sitcoms, and dramas, you have to submit a small outline, script bible, and then an actual script for an episode of your idea. But for a reality show which is not scripted, how do I get my idea across. Also, I know that age 16, I'm relatively young, so will studios be willing to buy my idea, if its good, despite my young age.

Well, since it's a reality show, you might think that its just get a camera and pull it off, but you still have to plan for the show. You should put in writing as much as you can (the basic idea, setting, rules, goal, twist, even the type of people that you would need on there) and then send that in, I suppose.

You should pitch it to different people first to see what the general interest would be. Because even if you think your idea is really good, a major studio will be skeptical not that willing to give it an opportunity.

Nobody wants to just buy an idea. Ideas are 10 cents a dozen. Get your show together, make it a near complete package. That would have some value.

I'm not sure but I do want to tell you something important. You are probably going to get a few people asking "What is your idea?" DON'T tell anyone if you really think it is that good because they will steal your idea.

Do a treatment; do an enactment with story boards and maybe music and special effects on computer!

First I suggest you get a lawyer or something and make sure your idea doesn't get stolen or you will be left with nothing.
