My daughters party is coming up the end of April. I have no idea what to do. Any good ideas? We've done backyard BBQ's and park parties the last few years. She is thinking of inviting friends from school.

What does your daughter like? Does she have a favorite character? You can make it a theme party. Let say it's the Little Mermaid... you can have everyone dress as if they are part of the sea.

How much are you willing to spend? We did a Build-A-Bear Workshop party for our four year old and it was a HUGE hit! The prices are very reasonable. They start at about $10 per guest. You can go higher than that if you want to. We did only the Build-A-Bear (i.e. skipped the cake and ice cream etc.) and it cost us about $120 for 8 kids. The only drawback I can think of is that it might be too late to schedule one for April. Then again, it can't hurt to try. You can go to www.buildabear.com and check out there party planner if you want to go that route. Good luck!

I miss the Inland Empire sometimes, except for the smog.
Sorry, I have no kids, just wanted to throw that in.
Pinatas are always fun, and pin the tail on the donkey.
Why do I like the blindfolded games?

ask the other mothers to pitch in with things the girls can play old fashioned "dress-up". any hats, shoes (high heels, of course), dresses, belts, .so that as the girls arrive to the party, they will be kept busy "dressing" for your party. and out of your hair for a time. actually it sounds fun to me. take pictures for the scrapebook. they ham it up pretty good if asked to pose like models. enjoy the moment.
