Which is beter? Mostly i want to know - with Blockbuster do you get to choose the movie you get or does it send you one from a list? Ive always wanted to watch Casablanca, but if Im not in the mood for it, I dont want it from Blockbuster! I want to be able to chose which movies I get and when....

I have been a Netflix member for nearly 6 years and I love it. If you just remember to check your Netflix queue when you check your email, you'll be able to control which movie you get. Just make sure the movie you want is at the top of the list when you return a movie and Netflix will get it to you...if it's available. Netflix has an amazing selection, which I don't think Blockbuster has. Netflix has independent films, documentaries, and TV shows, as well as the normal selection of movies. Blockbuster, I believe, has the option that you can return a film at the store and take the one you want for no extra charge. But, I love Netflix and will go with them anytime!

I've been a Blockbuster Total Access member for over 6 months now. They have a great selection with over 65,000 movies and counting.
Blockbuster can send you 3 movies at a time, so if you have Casablanca (and 2 other movies) it'll be sent to your home. With Blockbuster, you can also bring them back to the store instead of mailing them back and exchange it for another movie for free. This really convenient if I want to watch a new release without waiting.
I would recommend Blockbuster all the way. They're also advertising a 2 week trial for Blockbuster Total Access if you want to see what it's like:

I've had both Blockbuster and Netflix. I like Blockbuster better because like Netflix you do get to choose what movies are sent to you according to the movie list in your Queue. They send you the next one on your list only if there out of your requested movie. When the movie you want comes available they send it to you. Blockbuster is better then netflix because you can return your mail videos to any Blockbuster and in return are able to check out as many movies as you've returned for free. They have to be in the white envelope that was sent to you through the mail.

Netflix and Blockbuster are setup the same way where you can queue your movies and get to pick which ones you want next. However, Blockbuster could be better for you if you live by one, because now they allow you to go into their stores to swap movies so no waiting for the mail like Netflix. Sometimes their system messes up and you can have 6 movies at one time without no penalty. 3 from the store and 3 from the mail.

Netflix definitely has the better selection. Blockbuster tries to appeal to you by saying you can take the movies you've received in the mail to the store, then pick up more movies. But then you have to return THOSE movies back to the store and wait another two days to get more in the mail. It just involves more trips to the store. There's nothing convenient about it. Netflix all the way!

i had netflix, then went with blockbuster because you can get more movies by taking them to the store
but lately blockbusters service has been lacking, and i'm seriously considering going back to netflix
