Over the past few weeks I've been noticing under eye wrinkles that won't go away. I smile a lot (some people say too much) & have been doing so for many years so I guess this is the result, but that may not be the reason for the wrinkles so what else could've caused it?
I'm a homebody & don't like staying in the sun & when I do go out I wear a moisturizer w/ SPF 15 so why am I getting wrinkles? Go here for a pic: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=15427831&uid=3491377

What can I do to get rid of them?
How can I prevent them from deepening?
How can I prevent wrinkles from coming in other parts of my face?
What products can I use (that are relatively cheap?
I heard that using anti-wrinkle creams before you need them speeds up the aging process..is this true or false?

Stay away from products that contain mineral oil. Mineral oil is a petrol chemical derivative and very toxic. Mineral oil is the second leading cause of pre-mature aging of the skin second only to the sun!
Basically it is crude oil that has been refined to a clear state. This also goes for petroleum jelly and believe it or not baby oil, these are also a petrol products. Not only is mineral oil toxic it forms a plastic like layer on top of the skin preventing it from breathing. So initially your skin will "feel" softer but ultimately it is drying, so it must be constantly re-applied and worse it prevents your skin from breathing, which is a vital body function needed to assist your kidney's and liver in eliminating toxins from your system.
This may be difficult because 90% off all personal care and skin care products available over the counter have this as an ingredient.

I use anti-wrinkle cream, I am 18 and have been using it since I was 15, I think. My mom always told me to take good care of my face and I would be happy I did later in life. But yeah, I use that cream and lots of moisturizer and stuff. Never too early I say. But just so ya know, I don't think your wrinkles are bad at all, everyone has a little.

A lot of it is genetic, but you can help slow down wrinkles. Wear sunglasses whenever you are outside--that is very important. Keep up with the sunscreen habit. It's good that you aren't a sun worshipper--nothing wrinkles the skin more.

Your eyes look perfectly normal and wrinkle-free to me! You are so young--I'm over 20 years older than you--you should see my wrinkles! :-) I wouldn't start with any anti-wrinkle creams yet. I started using them in my early 30's, but you could use an all-around eye cream for extra moisture.

I agree with fun-purple, it's genetic your eyes are just fine. for me I am older and have a daughter 8 and she has the same eyes underneath like yours and hers come from her dad. I always have believed in old fashion ways to prevent wrinkles and that is I wash my face and around my eyes I use the inward circle motion not outward stretching the eye tissue and then I use vasiline around my eyes to keep them moisterize, because most bright skinned people skin is dryer than dark skinned people. and don't worry because you might not smile and smiling is the best medicine. your young ,live your life. Anything you use around your eyes now might not be good because your skin is young and fresh don' use anything that adults use you are still growing and your skin is still
changing. use the vasaline at night time while you sleep and in the morning wash your face in warm water and then close your pores with cold water. Don' put nothing around your eyes in the day time.If you use eye shadows
don't pull the eye tissiue to apply relaxe your eyes andapply.Really look at your beauty relax your are just fine.

You are way to young for anti wrinkle cream. It might happen that your skin is dry and sensitive, so try using preparative cosmetics for dry skin on regular basis (lotion, day cream and night cream). I like Clinique Three Step Care, it is not cheap, but it is worth the money.

Anti-wrinkle cream is a good idea. I am 24 and I use it around my eyes. They make your skin more firm. No, they don't speed the aging process.
