Which teams are underdogs to win the championship this year? I have a feeling an underdog team will win it, and not the heavily favored Mavs or Suns. I say from the West, the Rockets are the underdogs judging from people's responses. From the East, take your pick, there's a lot underdogs in the Eastern Conference.

I agree the Knicks are definite underdogs. Anything can happen in the playoffs. I really hope the Mavs or Suns don't win for the sake of exciting times in the NBA again. A good underdog story is always very satisfying.

I think that every team in the Eastern Conference is an underdog because no matter who wins the conference no one is going to think they have a chance of winning in the finals. In the west I think the Jazz are the underdogs because despite how well they're doing no one picks them to win the NBA title.

An underdog will NOT win the West. Its the Mavs or the Suns. Not a chance an underdog will beat them 4 times in a series.

I think any team from the east is going to be an underdog. They don't have a team that can compete with the west 3rd and 4th best teams. The lakers could surprise in the west, if kobe gets on roll he is stoppable.

East: Anyone with the possible exceptions being the pistons and raptors that comes from the east will lose the finals.
West: Spurs(is that an underdog?), Jazz, Rockets, Hornets(look how well they're playing now their healthy).

the underdogs gotta be the Knicks or Net cuz neither one has been able to make it to the Semis in past couple of years, but i'm going for the Knicks cuz im a New Yorker
