First of all don't scrub your face so hard. That only promotes bacterial growth.
Wash your hands really good, an antibacterial is best.
After you have taken a warn shower your pores are more open. Start pushing/squeezing them out, its the only way. I have spent lots of money on a facial and they do the same thing.
Then apply Witch Hazel, its natural and inexpensive. It feels cool to your skin. Its a natural astringent which will help heal and close the pores.
And in the summer here in South I wear a sunscreen. In the winter I wear a makeup with sunscreen in it.
