War may be able to achieve submission from the other party, but how can it be a means to achieve peace?

War is never good- I truly believe that.
BUT the Status QUo forces us to save our way of life. If not America then some other country would take our place..if not Iran then Iraq.
Trust me...most of the world would like us to be destroyed...including our allies. We always have a knife in our back, but who will twist it to make America fall to it's knees. The world will sit back and laugh. Then we will be asking..who will help us?
Do I want peace? Of course- but as I sit here right now typing- my way of life is all I know. If not us- then who deserves it? America is Beautiful. We are just as misunderstood as any other country in the world.

Nope, I'm a realist. And sometimes war is also waged in defense of a way of life. I can't imagine anyone thinking that stopping Hitler was a bad thing, for example.

WOW, I'm sorry. I thought I was in the P&S room. I seen the word pacifist and I was thinking, well, not what you meant.

No, I am not. Some people (Osama for one) are not going to be defeated through thoughtful persuasion.
