Have you ever truly been hypnotized?

Question

I am 100% sure I can never be hypnotized, howmuchever anyone tries to do it. I hv seen shows though where people can be, and I find that quiet unbelievable.

I had a few people try to hypnotize me but they always failed. Guess we aren't meant to be out of control. well, not that way anyway.

I have, and I AM a licensed Hynotherapist. My husband felt the same way you do.......saying, "no one could hypnotize me!'.....so, I said he would be great for me to practice on, since he's so strong that he can't BE hypnoptised. So I did my thing, and put in a suggestion that he drink a glass of milk, when we were done, and to call our older son and ask him to go fishing with him. (my husband needed to do this, he was Working WAY too much, 7 days a week!) My husband hates milk! Never drinks a drop of it.
After the session, my husband said,
See I told you I couldnt' be hypnotized...............went to the kitchen, poured himself a glass of milk, then, called our son to make plans for them to go fishing.
I guess that tells you how 'sometimes' people who believe they can't be, CAN be. My husband argues still, today, that he did not drink a glass of milk! But, there was the glass, and he IS the one who drank it.

Yes I have. And I, at one point, could even self-hypnotize. I would not recommend that though. Very scary.

I haven't - I also don't think I could be. My son had a friend who was hypnotized to help him stop smoking - it worked, but now the friend can't eat bread - sounds crazy, doesn't it.

i think anyone can be hypnotized by a very good and experienced hypnotizer.
dont u think it will be cool to get hypnotized and even cooler if u can do it sucessfully to anyone??
