I was writing an essay basically saying that Candide by Voltaire was not misogynist and the text fails to support this claim, cause men are treated worse than women are in the story

misogynist is hatred of women ,just wanted to know if there was another way to express hatred for men besides man hater

Hisogynist may be the word you're looking for. I don't find it in my dictionary, but I have seen it used. You may want to check with your instructor on wheter it is acceptable.
