i belive that co-ed schools provide a great opportunity to educate children about gender differences and help them learn social skills related to that of gender. i also recognise though that for some students, single sex schools work well as it removes the distraction of the opposite sex, and avoids problems of some students feeling uncomfortable around students of the opposite sex, particularly during the high school years!
