I think you will go soon. As your contractions start kind of erratic in the beginning they will soon become more constant and regular as time progresses. Just sit back and relax catch a movie or something. Take a nice walk, ( it'll be a little while before you can enjoy that again), or take a warm bath, as long as you haven't ruptured your membranes yet. Good Luck to you!! ** 36 weeks is still early so if they become regular, be sure and call your Dr ASAP** :)

When the mucous plug falls out, it is generally the signal of impending birth within a few days--often five. If you have begun contractions my advice is to call your doctor and start timing the intervals in between. 36 weeks is usually not so early that it is very dangerous for your baby, but your doctor's advice must be heeded above all others. Technically your birth is still a premature one, so with contractions, I'd be calling my doctor and/or getting to the hospital pronto, no matter how slight the prematurity of my child was.

Women have been known to go weeks after losing their plug, but if your first child came early I'd say there's a good chance your second will, too. I think the best thing you can do is time the length between and duration of the contractions. If they start getting regular, then you may be in active labor. You should call your dr to let him know if you haven't already.

i would say that you should go soon. With both of my kids i lost my mucas plug and then my contractions started. I would watch the pains and if they get to bad then go to the doctor or just call

Try not to freak out yet. I lost my mucus plug 4 weeks before I actually delivered. And your contractions could be Braxton-Hicks. But, if your contractions start to come on regularly then definitely call your doctor!!

Good Luck!

You'll probably have this one around 37 weeks also. I had my first one at 38 weeks and the rest were trying to come at 36 weeks or earlier but my Dr. held them off until 37 weeks. You'll probably be having your baby before this week is out.

if this is your second time thru, then you should kind already know the drill by now. there's nothing wrong with baby coming now and if your first was early, your second could be soon. but there are braxton hicks contractions and those aren't anything at all. time your contractions and if they're regular, go to the doctor. if they're not, then they're nothing to worry about.

I would say call your doctor because you may actually be having braxton hicks... im 37 weeks today myself & i think its better to be safe & call your OB/GYN. Loosing a mucous plug can still give your body a few weeks before actually going into labor. Welcome to the club! I think i lost mines last week!

Usually when you lose your mucus plug it's within 10 days..So rest up, because it sounds like you are approaching impending motherhood again.

on and off are false contractions, you're body is getting ready to go into labor. it could be days, or weeks from now.

good luck!
