I think you've asked this before under a different name. Several times.

I can only go off my own personal history. Growing up I went to all White schools and I did not realize that Black people were involved in anyway shape or form in history other than as SLAVES. We were never taught about one Black Person ( I don't even recall learning about Martin L. King jr. until middle school)
Can you imagine what kind of self identity this creates for our youth? It is absolutely necessary to educate the youth on their history and the history of others. Kind of ironic, I never thought one day I'd be hearing White People complain about the Black History that I was never taught about in my younger years. I wonder how my personality and Self worth would have developed differently if I would have known that Blacks were an important part of History.

Thank god tomorrow is the last day of the month. Then maybe people will stop asking this dumb as$ question!!!!
Why do you need a month when your history is taught all year. Its called US History. It is not fair that we only learn about black history for 28 days out of the year. If it were more incorporated into US History, then there would be no need for it. So, would you rather hear about blacks every day, or just for 4 weeks out of the year? Hmmmm... that 4 week thing doesn't sound so bad anymore, huh?
I don't know if you know... I'm assuming that you don't... but there are months for many other ethnicities as well. So, I hope to see you ask the same question for them. Just incase you aren't sure when those months are, here you go...
February- Black History
March- Greek-American Heritage Month & Irish-American Heritage Month
May-Asian Pacific American History Month &Jewish-American Heritage Month
September- National Hispanic Heritage Month
October- German-American Heritage Month & National Italian-American Heritage Month & Polish-American Heritage Month
November- National American Indian Heritage Month
So, next month we can expect you to ***** about Greek-American Heritage Month & Irish-American Heritage Month, right????

Because everyone wants to be so anti-racist that they become even more racist just in a different way. History is history and should not be dedicated to certain race. If there were a white history month the hypocrites would riot and shout racism! Racism hasn't gone away its just been redirected.

every month is white history month.
Look at how much more anglo history is taught compared to black history.
You wanna get technical.
There should be a womans history month along with the black history, THAT'S only fair, considering woman saw as much disrespect and discrimination.
