I was a Shaq's fan but he began to bug me. He is the most immature athlete in the NBA. First off, he would let a crudge between him and kobe off. He still bitchin and crying about what happened in Los Angeles 4 years ago. He talk crap about Lakers fans who stood behind him with all the kobe vs Shaq fiasco. Not only he's immature, he is not a hard worker. I dont remember the last time he played a full season yet. He always take vecation (uhh i mean) injury time off during the season and still complained about the work outs. And now, to top it all, he complains about the MVP votings saying it's tainted the last 4 years. Just because he didnt win an MVP the last 4 years doesnt mean it's tainted. Those MVP winners deserve it all. I didnt realized Steve Nash, Tim Duncan and Garnets a buss but to Shaq's eyes they are. What an immature 30 somethin year old guy. I was a huge Shaq's fan but now he is my least favorite player.

Oh yea by the way, if you wanted to talk about tainted MVP. I believe that the last MVP shaq recieved was tainted. It should've went to Kobe Bryant. Kobe was the one who played the full season during that MVP year. Shaq only played half of the season. Kobe was the one who lead the teams to most wins, check out the record, Kobe have a better winning record when he was leading the lakers without Shaq during that year and it's provin so Shaq didnt deserve that 2003 MVP at all. It was Kobe's. Just cus Shaq played well during the playoffs doesnt mean he deserve the regular season MVP.

Age doesn't always bring maturity. Maturity is a state of mind.

So Shaq is immature because he expresses his opinion and you don't agree with it. I guess we are all immature than. I have no clue what a "crudge" is but maybe he was hurt by the way things went while he was in L.A. Let's face it he and Kobe could still be dominating the NBA together. How many players play a full season nowadays. It has nothing to do with being a hard worker. Even hard workers get injured. Not everyone is an Iron Man like AC Green, especially when you are getting double and tripled teamed day in and day out.
The MVP is supposed to go to the best player in the league. I don't think Steve Nash has been the best player in the league the last 2 years. Does that mean I'm immature? I think Nash was great and the MVP of the Suns, but not of the league. As for the MVP award that you think Kobe should have won. Maybe so but it was for the Finals. Not the season, not the first or second round of the playoff but FINALS MVP!
Shaq is a dominant player and the most quotable player in the league and possibly all sports. And he's still fun to watch.

If Shaq had half the work ethic of Kobe the Heat would have been unstoppable the last couple of seasons. Now he has someone else to take the big shots like he did in L.A. (Kobe and Wade) while he can just relax and wait in the paint to lower his shoulder and not receive a charge then dunk the ball. I wouldn't complain about MVP award when I wasn't even the best player on my team.

The game is quickly passing him by, and I think that's tough on the big man's ego. He hasn't realized that he is just a big waste of space out there, and that if he'd tried to take better care of his body over the years (and maybe given Rick Barry a phone call) he very well could've ended up being the greatest of all time.

As for tainted MVP's, I still think Nash's numbers are not that spectacular, but he is certainly the most important player for his team to succeed. His numbers are very similar to John Stockton's numbers in the late '80's, early '90's. But Stockton never even got a whiff of the MVP award. Just shows how diluted the league has become.

I think Shaq realizes that his time is surely coming to an end. And instead of getting ready to retire gracefully he is really acting up. To say the MVP trophy has been tainted the past four season is an insult to the great players (Nash, Duncan, and Garnett) that won it.He really needs to just shut up and try to help his team that looks like they're on the verge of either not making the playoffs or making it but being first round and out.

Shaq is the posterboy for today's player. He is not the same as a Kareem Abdul Jabbar with the serious attitude all the time.He is serious when need be.Other than that it just looks like he wants to have fun.Evidence of that is the dancing clip at the all star game with Shaq lebron and Dwight Howard dancing.Even though when I first saw it I didnt like it, if those Big fellas want to dance they should go to the club like everyone else but as I looked at it all, I saw was 3 young Millionaires(Although Shaq is basketball old he still is young) having fun doing what they do.I CANT HATE ON THAT.

Shaq is a piece of crap in my book. You are right, all he does is whine about anything & everything. You people make me sick saying all he is doing is trying to "have fun" , ..... Im sure hes having lots of fun, hes a frickin multi-millionaire, SHOW SOME CLASS!!!! But this should not be narrowed down to just Shaq, its very rare these days to find a classy professional sports player, although there are some, for example : Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, (I think) LeBron is classy for his age, ..... but there are some. I think all professional sports need to look at the way they are paying these people, find some way of changing these people and stop making these sports look so bad these days. College sports is all I pretty much watch anymore, although it is starting to get corupted also. But anyways you are right about Shaq, he needs to grow up & stop setting bad examples for people.
