Bush is actually going to try to use DIPLOMACY to solve the problems in Iraq (a key recommendation by the Iraq study group) by starting talks with Syria & Iran.

So is Bush showing what a wimp he truly is by talking w/ US enemies who support terrorists or is he doing the smartest thing that he has ever done while President?

Thats something that you wouldn't read in the paper, his failed policy's will be left for history when he leaves office.

If he actually tries to talk to these countries instead of bullying them, he may just save the day.

Does this show he is a wimp? Not really. Syria and Iran (if he talks to the ones really in charge, not the nut bars that they have who are said to be in charge) will have more respect for that than the threatening posture he has used in the past.

Again, I must say that one country may view terrorists as terrorists and another may view terrorists as freedom fighters. I may not agree with the assessment but that is the way it is.

He sounds like a classic "flip-flopper" to me, too.

Republican hypocracy knows no bounds, although I'm sure Bush will make it sound as though HE thought up the whole concept of diplomacy in the Middle East.

Bush is very smart. He will make Iran an offer they can't refuse.
