I have latest anti virus/spy ware program running but I constantly get security alerts on my yellow triangle alert on task bar. It seems that smart vendors trying to scare me into buying THEIR solution to a problem which I think they are creating. I have a clean computer (fairly sure....) but these vendors push their software onto my screen constantly (Malware, PestControl, SpyCatcher etc. etc. Somehow these programs are in my startup menu and keep popping up ..... I have System Mechanic Professional as well as COX Security suite running .....

Sounds to me like you have a raging spyware infection. What "latest anti virus spyware program" do you have running? Are you certain that it isnt itself a spyware program?

I suggest trying a fre scan from a reputable antispyware vendor. I use XoftspySE, and find that it does a good job of keeping my computer clean.

You can download a free scan here:

Good luck!

Never click OK on a popup. Just hit the X in the top right corner.

You've got SpyWare. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
