Yes to the dress, no to the party. My parents were really broke at the time and most of my family lived out of town. I don't recall that I cared. I was really shy back then..

i've got not performed my affirmation, do no longer think of I ever will, yet I did get the main terrible looking dress for my first communion. The humorous element is that i decide for it myself.

i hated the dress, but the church was cool since it wasn't where we normally attended. no didn't have a party. wow that feels so long ago.
