You just have to find the kind that fits you best. For example, I've discovered a long time ago that MY perfect fit is Levi's Low-Loose Boot-Cut jeans. It's a very specific brand, and you can only find it in K-mart and Target, sometimes in WalMart, but don't count on it. And that's it. Nothing else fits me the way I want. Even A&F, Old Navy, you name it - Nothing.
I would recommend you look for specific stores and try a bunch of jeans - and DON'T BUY ANY until you find the right one for you. Look the "style" online and buy them from there. I've been buying low-loose boot-cut jeans for a while now. And I have no regrets.
Happy huntings. The perfect fit isn't easy to find, but definitely worth the search.

That's because you are trying on the flared ones, try skinny jeans.
