Basically i just need a good rant!
Ok so i work in a small business and there is one head supervisor of the place. I cant stand her, i dont know how she got the job as she hasnt got 2 brain cells to rub together. Many people in the work place (infact most) agree. There is no1 i can talk to about this except my manager, and i really dont want to because i get so nervous talking to her about this and i cant get the words out.
Basically the Head supervisor does anything she can to annoy everyone, i try my best in the department i work in and really like my job - i put alot of effort in! But she doesnt care she doesnt give any appreciation and trys to keep us away from working with people we get along with!
All she does is sit in the office and bum lick the manager! I cant understand it! Why does the manager let her do this? She has no respect for anyone else except this manager!!!
Sorry i know this is very long but any advice?

Everyone talks about her its got to the point were people just say it to her and infront of anyone, she is that ignorant that u just cant help it! Without her the place would run alot better and everyone knows it.
I think the manager uses her because she stays after hours everyday and works without breaks for hours on end

Plus i have been working there for over 2 years and she is actually more ignorant that she once was, she thinks shes above everyone and only gives an order because she CAN not necessarly because its for the best. There is no way round it, i cant pretend to get along with it wouldnt work i cant agree with her over anything. but i really love this job and might be getting promotion, but not over her.

No she does not have brains. U would think that being in a head positon yes? But no, shes just very close to the manager. Thats it. She couldnt organise her own knickers never mind anything else.

It's important to be very cautious in this situation. You should not complain at work! Be very careful, because complaining could get you fired and get you a bad recommendation. Anyone that you complain to could easily tell someone else, and your head supervisor will find out pretty quick.
There's a link below with lots of good ideas about dealing with difficult bosses.
Your best choice is to find another job. It doesn't sound like she's going anywhere soon.

you and the other employees can go in and have a meeting with the head manager and discuss the unprofessional character of the Head supervisor.
if that fails
you and the other employers that feel this way can file with the EEO board anonymously if you don't have a corporate office or your office is the corporate office.
and if you are not comfy with doing this long procedure I suggest youu start getting your resume out there and start looking for another job. to be honest this may never change sad but true.
YOU REALLY NEED TO DO THE FIRST OPTION if you/staff feels this may be to lenghty: My staff and I did the same thing to an RVP she was with the company for over 15 or so yrs and she was so horrible I mean I don't even know how she made it that long with the company. Thought she could say or do anything her heart desires. We were feed up and went way over her head and made sure that if something was done we were going to the board. We also found out that she had complaints from other branches several complaints. She has been gone now for 2 1/2 yrs. 3 on Nov. 23rd to be exact.

If this is not any longer a activity which you intend on protecting for an prolonged time, in simple terms forget approximately him. and that i'm no longer possibly advantageous why you assume he's a racist... You did no longer point out that he makes use of racist language or something like that, so his prejudice could desire to be for many different reasons. No offense - i'm advantageous you're a impressive individual - yet he could produce different illogical reasons for no longer liking human beings. working example, possibly this is the indisputable fact which you're "working too complicated" that he could see as a risk, or p.c. out as kissing his butt. Pulling the race card would not help in this occasion, except you have some very valid reasons for thinking that he's a racist. in case you opt for a suggestion for a destiny activity, ask between the better bosses, who appreciates your artwork.

Tell your supervisor and manager that you and your co-workers request a "suggestion box"....put some useful things in it to throw the boss off the scent of who could be writing some of the things. Make sure all entries are completely annonomous. Then you and all your co-workers can bash the bejesus out of her. Tell your manager that this box would be for her eyes only. Maybe then your manager will wonder "could this many people be wrong?"

My only advice to you would be to try to find somewhere else to work. Honestly I had the same problem with my old boss and that person will never change. You need to make the change and do what's best for yourself. If you really are thinking you want to stay at the company then I suggest you talk to the person above her. If there is no one I think you are SOL.

If you don't like this Supervisor just quit...The way i see it, well that she must be smart that's why she is in that position. What do you think when you gossip behind her back, I would say be very careful or one day soon you could be fired...someone is going to come and tell her that you talk bad about her. If you feel unappreciated honey find another job, or you will get sick.

Well, if you REALLY want to do something about it, maybe you and all agreeing co workers should have a meeting with your head manager and explain the situation.
Otherwise, if you like your job that much- just ignore her and keep doing what you're doing, so you can get promoted and fire her.

She is probably just a mean bi*ch! The best advice I can give you is to find another job or speak to your manager in a nonconfrontational manner and let her know how she makes you feel and if other staff members feel the same way perhaps you can all have a meeting with her. GOOD LUCK!

it can be hard to talk to somebody in a higher position especially when you feel heated about a situation.
so write them a letter!
you can revise as much as you want so you dont accidently slip up or something, and it will appear to your manager to be more thought out and rational and they will be more open to it. also it will be harder for them to turn words around on you.
but remember, keep a copy for yourself.
also you could have other people sign the letter so that your manager sees it is a problem for everybody.

In the same sittuation. This is how I deal with it:
Maintain my performance(Despite my dislike for the supervisor, I do not let it affect the quality of my work).
Realize that this will eventually pass(Nothing last forever so whatever you are going thru with her, It will not last).
