Lala Amarnath was the first Indian test centurion, scoring the only century of his test career against England on debut in 1933. He scored 118, taking just 121 minutes and hitting 21 fours. Lala Amarnath is also the father of successful Indian cricketer Mohinder Amarnath.
Hope this helps!

Some parsi guy, since they formed the first indian club, later known as oriental cricket club in 1848.
They even built their own gymkhana for cricket.
Were funded and sponsored by Parsi businessmen like Tatas and Wadias.
Gymkhana cricket led to the Quadrangular(on communal and racial lines,) Pentangular (including a 'rest' team) and finally National Cricket Championship(later renamed Ranji Trophy)
