I have two African dwarf frogs that I purchased from a local pet store, but when I look on the internet, there isn't much information about them. The pet store doesn't know that much about them either.

I would like to know how you tell the male from the female, what do their eggs look like, and any other general information anyone may know or have experienced with these frogs.

A 5 gallon tank isn't very great for many fish. I incredibly have 3 guppies, 3 mollies, a bamboo shrimp, an African dwarf frog, and a couple of snails residing in a 20 gallon long tank. all of them get alongside with one yet another o.k.. i don't have a heater in my tank because of the fact my room interior of reason heat and we video show the temp many times. It continues to be at seventy 8 levels each and every of the time. i take advantage of frozen brine shrimp each and every 2 or 3 days to feed the frog. the only situation I incredibly have is the fish love the brine shrimp additionally. I do exactly no longer positioned flakes in the tank if I basically positioned brine shrimp in it. I under no circumstances tried the turkey baster yet i'm beneficial it works nicely. My frog reveals the nutrition so i do no longer think of its a situation. I already listened what I put in my tank and that they are doing o.k.. basically please attempt to maintain the quantity of fish you put in your tank to a min. 2 or 3 mollies or guppies and one or 2 frogs at maximum. another smaller tropical fish are tetras and platies. I constantly purchase the smallest length they have so i will watch them improve and so as that they are actually not to special for my tank. wish this facilitates.:]

It is impossible to tell male from female.

I have two, and they are hilarious. They like to float around the tank when they are content at funny posistions (if your flog is floating upside down chances are it is not dead). They like to eat bloodworms, but will also eat brineshrimp. They have really bad eye site so they tend to try to bite anything that moves because they think it might be food.
