I have read a lot of documentation and I understand the medical risks and benefits of ED drugs. I also understand that you have to have the desire present for the drug to work as well. My question is, after having sex when a guy normally hits the refractory period and goes...limp...when can I get it up again? I normally cannot have sex more than 1 daily...could I take this drug and as long as the desire is present, would I be able to have sex 5 or 6 times per night? This is a serious question so please do not think this is abusive.

perhaps 5 or 6 was a bit ambitious...I am talking more about a special night out with my wife.

After you have an orgasm - you will go limp (although a LOT more slowly). You may also not go limp and have a painful swollen erection for awhile...this is a potentially very serious side effect and I'm sure you've already read about it. You may be ready for "round two" sooner than if you hadn't taken any meds at all. As for being able to have sex 5-6 times...I suspect after 2 you will need an ice bag, a night's sleep and a bowl of Wheaties ;-) Have fun.

If you need it 5 or 6 times a night, you may need a sex therapist...From what I hear, the pill works for 8-12 hours, so obviously the time to take it would be at night...unless you want to go everywhere the next day with an erection...

Viagra is absorbed and processed rapidly by the body and is usually taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before intercourse. Results vary but studies have shown that Viagra is effective in 75% of cases.

In clinical studies, Levitra has been shown to work quickly, provide consistent results, and improve sexual function in most men the first time they take the drug. It also has shown to be effective in men of all ages, in patients with diabetes mellitus, and in men who have undergone radical prostatectomy.

Cialis has been shown in clinical trials to stay in the body longer than the other selective enzyme inhibitors. It promotes erection within 30 minutes and enhances the ability to achieve erection for up to 36 hours.

Common side effects of selective enzyme inhibitors include headache, reddening of the face and neck (flushing), indigestion, and nasal congestion. Cialis may cause muscle aches and back pain, which usually resolve on their own within 48 hours.

umm im not exactly sure, but im pretty sure that the pill works for a long time, so i would guess that yeah you could have sex 5 or 6 times if the desire is there.

My understanding is the drug companies haven't actually tested for that (or aren't admitting to it anyway) but logic would say you probably get a couple of rounds out
