The New NHL is OK, still could be better....The earliest the can get rid of him is in 2012

The owners have to want to get rid of him, and since he brought them the salary cap, that's not likely to happen.
AND even if that happens, don't expect miracles. Players are going to have to stop swinging sticks and throwing sucker punches, reporters are going to have to show Goals and saves, not just fights, someone is going to have to realize you can't go giving away 3 points a night in some cases, 2 in others, fans will have to go to games, Crosby and Ovechkin will have to improve on their own, and some network has to decide Hockey has more appeal than Poker or Bass Fishing. It's not ALL Bettman's fault what has happened.

I don't think we will see his face for long time. Unless the NHL is losing lots of money and Canadiens no longer watch Hockey.
