About live sound, switching from minidisc player to Mp3 player?

I play at a local resturant. I use intromental tracks in the background from my mini disc player. Is it possible to use an mp3 player instead? I need an auto stop feature that would stop after every song. also i need a good equalizer in the mp3 player.

It's definitely time to move on from the Minidisc player. I used to have one, and then got an iPod and haven't looked back!

I would look into something from Creative like the Creative Zen Vision M. It's 30gb and can hold more songs than you'll ever need to worry about. Plus, it's got video playback for those times when you're a little bored.
