Ok, I have my belly button pierced and in my opinion the pain for that was not much at all. I am about to get a tattoo and my tongue pierced. Can anyone say how badly those two things hurt, and could you compare it with something?

tongue piercing doesn't hurt.afcourse,it is not plesent.and about tatoos...it all depends on where u put it. Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different tolerancy to pain. I'm not going to kid you, though - it does hurt. Just not that much. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling". But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad! Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there. It's true that everyone has a different threshold of pain. What one person considers not painful at all could be devastating to another. Some people describe the feeling as a "hot scratch". Some have said it was "annoying". Most say it was not nearly as bad as they feared. But there is a little more than pain alone to consider when getting a tattoo

Well for one, that tattoo will hurt more than the tongue piercing for sure. I had both done and the tongue was nothing. I felt a prick as the needle went through and that was it. Kinda like when you have your blood tested. Once it's in, its done. It's getting used to the new piercing once it's in. As for the tattoo. when they trace the outline, you will feel pain. Just take a pen without the ink and trace something. It feels like scratching back and forth when the fill the color in. It will hurt more on one side then the other. Depends where you are getting it. Mine's on my lower back and b/c I'm right handed it hurt more when they did the left side. All in all you'll survive and it won't be that bad at all.

The process of getting your tongue pierced doesn't hurt at all (it's actually surprising considering how bad it hurts when you bite your tongue). It's the next few days that are bad. The swelling is what hurts. Some people have a lot of swelling, and some people barely have any.
Tattoos are not terrible painful. If you get one on an area where there isn't a lot of fat, it will hurt more. Boney areas are uncomfortable, but not unbearable.

I have my belly button & my tongue piered and a tatoo. I have a very low tolerance for pain, but my belly ring barely hurt at all; the tongue piercing, I swear, you will hardly feel a thing! You expect it to hurt so bad but really, the belly ring hurt more which isn't saying much since that wasn't too painful at all. Now, the tatoo, that hurts! But if I can handle it, anyone can. Just take a friend or someone w/ u, hold their hand if needed-I held my boyfriends hand during the tatoo, hold your breath, and you'll be fine.

i've had my tounge pierced twice, and i also have my belly button pierced. for me, the belly button hurt, but the tounge didn't hurt at all either time. the only bad part is the clamp, i didn't even feel the needle go through. make sure you keep listerine on you at all times and rinse often, and stay away from dairy products for a week or two to prevent infection. also, be careful when eating tomato based foods like ketchup until it heals, the acids in it make it burn like the dickens. you'll probably want to get a shorter bar once it's safe to change it, because the bar they give you is extra long in case of swelling. as for the tattoo, not too sure, haven't had a professional one yet. just carefully follow the care instructions that your artist will give you.

the tattoo will hurt. definately more than the tongue and belly button(i know you already did the belly). a tattoo is a needle sticking into your skin repeatedly so you'll be bleading continuously. so make sure that you do it with a trusty person because you can contract diseases from the needle. and the removal of it is even more painful so make sure that you really want it.

Depends on where you are getting the tatt. I have had 4 and only one (on my lower back) hurt. I can't compare it to anything because the feeling was unique. I can say that getting them taken off felt like hot bacon grease being poured on my skin! So make sure whatever you pick you want to keep!

tongue piercing is bad u cannot even speak well for a week or so or let alone eat solids..good luck wit dat love..
