Maybe since this is the 2nd time she's there and you still don't have any presents you should just work up a way to go there yourself and get your own souvenirs? I would.

Re - expensive problem - she needs to go to the millions of charity shops on the Kings Road - nearest tube is Sloane Square and also South Kensington has good charity shops - people with more money than sense throw away 3 month old designer gear which you then pick up for a tenth of the original price! Re - Ugly problem - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! As charity shops don't have the latest fashions only 2nd hand she's bound to see something she likes.

The tourist trap places are indeed disgusting! Tell her to try buying you something small but designer from Harrods or Harvey Nicholls in Knightsbridge. Either that or go to the Tower of London as part of her trip and go to the Jewel House - they sell some beautiful sparkly bracelets there which are not very expensive and then you'd both get what you want. She'd get a day out and you'd get your bracelets!

Go out of the center to places like Lewisham, Brent Cross, Camden Town and Wood Green avoid the Kings Road/Sloane Square its full of designer shops and try and avoid Oxford Street it's full of pick-pockets but you can get some bargains and avoid the usual touriste traps in those areas prices are over inflated

Definitely Harrods or Harvey Nicholls, they both have a really good range or prices and goods and mayb she luck out and catch a good sale. Harrods is tops though. If this is the second time she has gone and no holiday presents possibly she is trying to tell you something or she does not have the extra cash. Is she there on business or pleasure?

London prices are astronomical by comparison to the home counties...ask her for some perfume from the duty free shops in the airport if you have to put her under pressure for a present.....

Marks & Spencer.
London is what you make it. I've been there three times, enjoyed it immensely. The exchange rate is tough, so it will all seem really expensive.
