had anybody ever watched the film "vanilla sky" starring tom cruise? i was told that the film had an origional version which was in spanish or italian or french...i am not sure. does anyone knows the name of the origional one? the actors or the director? thanks!

It's called "Abre Los Ojos" (Open Your Eyes) and is Spanish and was made in 1997. Penelope Cruz was in both movies and played the same character.
It was directed by Alejandro Amenábar and written by him and Mateo Gil. It stars Eduardo Noriega as César.
