Next he's going to pick up a Nobel prize and join the exhaulted ranks of such notables as Jimmy Earl Carter and Yasser Arafat. Too bad Afafat croaked, they could form a band and maybe get a Grammy or something.

I hope your being sarcastic. Al gore had nothing to do with the beginning of the internet, that was a false rumor started by who knows who. The internet was created by to universities looking for an effective way to link there computers between both schools.

Actually, he was elected. Kind of funny how Geb Bush's state (Fla.) was the only state to screw it up and cost Gore the presidency.
Anyhow, he's probably thanking his lucky stars he's not president now. BTW have you seen "An Inconvenient Truth" ? No matter what political party your affiliated with, it is an informative, and insightful documentary; Deserving of an Oscar.

You are so childish to be jealous of Gore's Oscar. To put him down for not winning the Presidential Election. Richard Nixon didn't win his first nomination. Bob Dole, lost his only bid. Good Grief. You are such a liar. Gore never claimed to have invented the Internet. RLP, your lying sack of crap.

Nice breathless sensationalism from the hateful whacko Right again. Boing!
Gore won the popular vote in 2000. Problem is, George W. Bush called his brother Jeb who was Governor of Florida to "call the boys out"(read: send police to block roads) of more Jewish (read:Democrat) counties
And so,Bush 43 began his career as a career lawbraker for the population-despising Right.

He was elected but the judges appointed someone else. And yes he did press for the Internet and was on a board that started the Internet when at that time the conservatives laughed at him that the Internet was going to be big. Don`t forget the republicans resisted women voting.

I like the fact that his Mansion in Tenn uses more energy in a month than two average households do in a year.
BTW . . . What caused global warming 1 million years ago? SUVs, GWB, Capitalism, Haliburton, Thomas Edison, 6 gallon toilets. . .

Al Gore did not 'invent' the internet [urban legend which can be viewed on www.snopes.com]. And yes, he did win an Oscar on Sunday for his documentary.
He states he is not running for president again and will continue his work on global warming

Why do people insist on claiming that Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet when he didn't? Or is that another inconvenient truth?
